Atul Jain CEO & Managing Director

Atul is recognized as a leading consultant and software designer in the Wall Street technology community, where he continues to be an innovator in trading and risk management technology. The enterprise-class systems and the quantitative analysis software that he designed for Citigroup, Nomura, IXIS Real Estate Capital (formerly CDC), Clinton Group, Goldman Sachs, Telerate, Reuters, and many other financial firms have been used to manage multi-billion dollar portfolios across markets, including fixed income, derivatives, equities, FX, and commodities. Prior to founding Vichara, he was CEO of TechHackers, a quantitative financial technology firm that he founded, and Managing Director at Unisys, where he headed the capital markets technology business after Unisys acquired TechHackers. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and research engineer at HP. Atul holds MS and BS degrees in computer science from MIT, has taught at MIT, and currently serves on the board of the MIT India Program.

At TechHackers, their previous firm, Atul and Mike developed award-winning quantitative software products that have been licensed by over 3,000 financial institutions worldwide, including most major fixed income security dealers, derivatives dealers and institutional asset managers. Michael How CTO & Managing Director

Mike is regarded as an extraordinary systems architect and gifted software developer in the Wall Street technology community. He is a leading technical resource and mentor for both Vichara and client technical staff, and has served as chief architect for major systems initiatives at HSBC, CSFB, Babson Capital, FSA, Metacapital, Archeus Capital, Exis Capital, Citigroup, Lehman, Nomura, Goldman Sachs, CommerceNet and many other leading financial and information technology firms. He co-authored, with Atul, the widely used @nalyst and QuantTools financial analytic software packages. Prior to founding Vichara, Mike was CTO of TechHackers and Managing Director in the capital markets technology business at Unisys. Earlier in his career, Mike worked as a research engineer at HP and Digital. Mike holds MS and BS degrees in computer science from MIT, and has taught software and systems engineering at MIT.

Peter Greenberg Managing Director

Peter Greenberg is a senior technology manager and software designer with over 15 years experience developing systems for Wall Street companies. Before joining Vichara, Peter worked at Clinton Group, with responsibility for security valuation, mortgage and asset backed security analysis, risk management systems, and software infrastructure. Prior to that, Peter was a Senior Managing Director at TechHackers, where he managed projects for several clients including Citigroup, GreenTree, CDC IXIS, GMAC, Natwest and Rabobank. Peter has also worked in technology positions at Nomura and Citigroup, developing enterprise trading systems. Peter holds a B.A. in computer science and biology from Swarthmore College.

Sandeep Thakral Director, Technical Services

Sandeep is an experienced software architect and project manager. At Vichara he has managed projects for Archeus Capital and Lehman Brothers. Prior to Vichara he was involved with setting up of the first WAP gateway in Asia, and has handled projects for Infosys, Goldman Sachs and IBM-Sankyu. Sandeep is a BTech from IIT Mumbai. Sandeep is also one of the top bridge players in the country and represents the country at the World Championships.

Vineet Samson Director, Business Analysis & HR, Delhi

Vineet manages all HR activities of the firm and leads the business analysis group. He has managed projects for Wells Fargo, Balance Asset Management, IQS, and Telerate. Vineet holds a BSc with Honors in Physics from India's eminent St. Stephen's College, as well as an MSc in Informatics from Delhi University.

Shruti Jain Director, Operations, Delhi

Shruti manages all Indian administrative functions for Vichara, including facilities management, logistics, procurement, financial, accounting and legal. She holds an BA with Honors in Economics from India's renowned Hans Raj College.
